Welcome to the Trezor family! You’ve taken a big step toward securing your digital assets. This page will guide you through setting up your Trezor device — safely and confidently.
Trezor is more than a wallet — it’s your personal security vault for cryptocurrency. Whether you're new to crypto or a seasoned user, this simple guide will help you start using your Trezor wallet in just a few minutes.
Inside the box, you’ll find:
Before connecting your device, check the packaging. Make sure it hasn’t been tampered with. Your safety starts with a secure device.
Now, on your computer, open a browser and go to trezor.io/start. This is the official setup portal.
You’ll be guided through downloading Trezor Suite — the secure app that lets you access, manage, and protect your crypto. You can use Trezor Suite on desktop or browser, but we recommend the desktop version for maximum security.
Plug in your Trezor device using the provided cable. Follow the prompts in Trezor Suite to install the latest firmware if needed. This ensures your wallet runs the latest, most secure version.
You’ll then be asked to create a new wallet or recover an existing one. For most users, click “Create new wallet.”

Trezor will generate a 12- or 24-word recovery seed. This is the only way to recover your wallet if your device is lost or damaged. Write these words down on the provided card and store it in a safe place — never share it, never take a photo of it.
Anyone with this phrase can access your funds. Treat it like your crypto’s master key.
Next, choose a strong PIN code. You’ll use this each time you connect your Trezor. The PIN prevents unauthorized access if your device ever falls into the wrong hands.
Once setup is complete, you’ll be taken to your wallet dashboard in Trezor Suite. From here, you can:
It’s all in one place — simple, secure, and fully under your control.
